Youth League Women: McKinnon Cougars vs. Geelong United
The McKinnon Cougars Youth League Women, also finishing first with an 18-4 record, will face Geelong United, who ended the season fifth with a 13-9 record. The Cougars are coming off a dominant 104-65 win against Albury Wodonga in the Qualification Final, with Romy Price contributing 13 points and 8 rebounds per game.
Geelong United, advancing after a win over Ballarat Miners in the Elimination Final, will look to Jasmine King, who averages 17 points and 7 rebounds per game. King’s scoring ability and presence will be essential as they aim to challenge the top-seeded Cougars.
Youth League Men: McKinnon Cougars vs. Hume City Broncos
The McKinnon Cougars Youth League Men, who finished first on the ladder with a remarkable 19-3 record, will face the Hume City Broncos, who secured the fifth spot with an 11-11 record. The Cougars, led by Liam Booth, who averages 16 points and 8 rebounds per game, aim to continue their dominant season. Booth’s leadership and performance were pivotal in their 90-83 victory over the Coburg Giants in the Qualification Final.
Hume City, fresh off an elimination win over the Bulleen Boomers, will rely on Elijah Saifaleupolu, who averages 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists per game. Saifaleupolu’s all-around game will be crucial if the Broncos hope to upset the top-seeded Cougars.
Championship Men: McKinnon Cougars vs. Keysborough Cougars
The McKinnon Cougars Championship Men, finishing second with a 16-6 record, will compete against the Keysborough Cougars, who secured the third position with a 15-7 record.
